Many people ask me
if wolves make good pets.
I invariably answer “No!”
and quickly add that
no wild animal makes a good pet.

Rescue

Wolf maintains active contacts at other rescues and shelters. It also maintains this web site in order to help save as many animals as possible.

In 2005, Wolf turned away in excess of 1300 animals. Inquiries have been received from all over the United States and Internationally. Unfortunately, the problem has become so overwhelming, and funding sources so rare, that Wolf can not accept any additional animals at this time.

Wolf currently tries to place animals in need of a home through communication with interested parties on both sides of the concern through our e-mail address.

Wolf does not have the time or resources to check out individuals who wish to provide a home for an animal.  We hope that after reading the stories of the animals at the rescue, there will be a better understanding of the special requirements necessary to provide a well-adjusted life for these animals.

Wolf defines an APPROPRIATE home in the Sanctuary section of this site.  Additional information can be reviewed by visiting the sites listed in the Contacts section of this site.

Wolf also does not accept any responsibility or liability for the animals it may help individuals place.
